Charitable Contributions

Habitat for Humanity

First Coast Habitat for Humanity serves Duval, Nassau and Baker counties and has provided homeownership opportunities and housing services to approximately 2,400 families, while advocating for affordable and fair housing policies that improve housing conditions across the community.

Haskell has a 30-year partnership with First Coast Habitat for Humanity. In 2025, Haskell team members volunteered 168 hours, completing the company’s 30th and 31st homes. Haskell’s lifetime support now totals $1,524,581 in donations and an estimated 11,168 volunteer hours.

United Way

Haskell’s 2025 United Way campaign raised a record-breaking $321,748, a 6% annual increase, surpassing its $305,000 goal and supporting local communities across the company’s operating regions. The campaign reached approximately 25% employee participation and was led by co-chairs Ryan Camer and Denise Muth, with executive sponsorship from Jim O’Leary.

Team members across the U.S. and Latin America participated in initiatives throughout October, including a collegiate conference challenge and an office participation competition, with the Livermore, California, office achieving the highest participation rate at 75%. These efforts, supported by volunteer events and enhanced by a real-time Power BI dashboard, strengthened employee engagement and reinforced Haskell’s commitment to building stronger communities.

Haskell Scholarship Program

The Haskell Company Scholarship increased 33% to $2,000 per academic year for undergraduate studies at accredited colleges, universities and post-secondary vocational and trade schools for children of eligible team members. The Scholarship Committee meets to review candidate applications that include grade-point average (GPA), class rank, strength of academic program, school activities, sports involvement, outside work, educational goals and career aspirations. In addition, each candidate must submit three letters of recommendation.

Over the past 22 years, Haskell has awarded more than $896,000 in scholarships to the families of 246 team members.

Lovepacs

Haskell’s Dallas team launched a pro bono initiative, Project Lovepacs, to transform Lovepacs’ new facility in Little Elm, Texas, into an efficient operations hub. The nonprofit, which provides meal packages to students during school closures, required a layout optimized for food processing and storage. Haskell delivered 2D drawings and 3D models to maximize space and integrate more than 50 pieces of existing equipment. After identifying inaccurate building dimensions, the team revised the design, then removed an existing stage and guided updates to maintain progress. The final layout was delivered on schedule, helping Lovepacs expand its ability to serve children in need.

Dallas Breast Cancer Project

In November 2025, Haskell’s Dallas office team joined the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.’s “HOPE Homecoming” packing party in Frisco, Texas. Together, they packed over 3,000 HOPE Kits, which will be sent across the U.S. to support women undergoing breast cancer treatment.

ACE Mentor Program

Haskell maintained its longstanding leadership in the ACE Mentor Program of Northeast Florida in 2025, providing both financial support and extensive volunteer involvement. The company contributed $10,000 during the 2024-25 program cycle, supporting a free after-school program that served 196 students across 13 schools, and awarded $93,750 in scholarships to students pursuing careers in architecture, construction and engineering.

In addition to financial contributions, Haskell team members held key leadership roles, including Judy Deshler as board chair, and served as mentors across multiple school locations, supporting weekly sessions, student design competitions and career exposure activities. The company also provided in-kind support, such as event materials and printing, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone partner in developing the future AEC workforce in Northeast Florida.

NEFBA Workforce Development Center

Haskell pledged $75,000 to support the Northeast Florida Builders Association’s “Together We Build” campaign for a new workforce training center in Jacksonville. NEFBA recently acquired a 43,000-square-foot facility to centralize its apprenticeship program, which has seen enrollment grow nearly 250% over the past decade. The new center will feature classrooms, construction labs and an auditorium. The facility will introduce training on emerging technologies. Haskell, a partner since 1973, aligns this initiative with its workforce goals and secures naming rights within the facility.

Vanuatu Community Fire Safety Training

While working on the island of Vanuatu, the nation labeled the world’s most disaster-prone due to frequent earthquakes, cyclones and wildfires, Haskell’s field team took time to engage the community through a beachside fire safety session. More than 150 residents, including children, adults and elders, participated in hands-on fire awareness and extinguisher training designed to build practical response skills and improve community preparedness. The session was led by Project Safety Coordinator Pedro Sánchez, whose hands-on instruction and leadership helped equip participants with the confidence and tools to respond safely in emergencies.

Green Apple Day of Service

Haskell team members partnered with students and community organizations for Green Apple Day of Service to enhance outdoor learning spaces at Guardian Catholic School in Jacksonville, Florida. Led by Teri Williams and Jacob Thurlow, the project improved student engagement through sustainable design, including drought-tolerant landscaping, AI-enabled birdhouses and new seating areas. The team also installed custom red cedar planter boxes, built by Tocoi Creek High School’s Professional Women Builders program, to support hands-on learning. Supported by Haskell interns, mentors and industry partners, the effort combined education and sustainability to create a more functional and resilient environment for students.

RAM/RAP Mural

Haskell partnered with Riverside Avondale Preservation and local stakeholders to bring a large-scale public art installation to life at Jacksonville’s Riverside Arts Market. The project commissioned local artist Patrick Maxcy to create a 90-foot mural on a JEA pump station along the St. Johns River, transforming critical infrastructure into a vibrant community landmark. The wildlife-inspired design, located at one of the city’s most visited weekly markets, celebrates the river’s ecosystem and encourages environmental stewardship, reflecting the natural character of the surrounding area.

BOLT at School

Haskell’s innovation arm, Dysruptek, brought its robotic dog BOLT to Montessori Tides School in Jacksonville, Florida, to introduce students to emerging technologies shaping the built environment. During the visit, students experienced a live demonstration of BOLT’s capabilities, including mobility, site scanning and real-world applications in construction and safety. The interactive session introduced students to robotics, engineering and problem-solving while connecting classroom learning to future career pathways. By engaging directly with young learners, Haskell continues to inspire curiosity in STEM fields and promote awareness of innovation-driven careers in the AEC industry.
